This application offers a versatile tool designed to generate true High Dynamic Range (HDR) images, which can be downloaded or uploaded via iTunes to and from a computer. Its functionality caters to four primary user groups: lighting designers, architects, photographers, and real estate professionals.

For lighting designers, the app's core capability is to produce physically-based HDR images where each pixel reflects a realistic luminance value. To enhance the accuracy of these measurements, a straightforward camera calibration process is incorporated. By utilizing this feature, users can measure luminance values—minimum, maximum, mean, and average—for any scene area. Additionally, false-color representations with varied scales and palettes enable an evaluation of both the quantity and quality of lighting conditions within realistic environments.

The app also leverages GPS navigation and motion sensors to generate sun-path diagrams, calculate total sunlight exposure hours, and estimate metrics such as Daylight Autonomy, Continuous Daylight Autonomy, and Daylight Factor at specific camera locations and orientations. It can construct annual temporal daylight illuminance charts for designated points within a space.

From an architectural perspective, all aforementioned daylight availability assessments and sun-path diagrams are valuable tools for evaluating existing conditions in various spaces.

For photographers, the ability to create high-quality HDR images that can be saved for further processing with computer software supports post-production editing and enhancement tasks.

Finally, in the real estate sector—particularly for prospective buyers or those planning to purchase a new property—the app provides insights into natural light patterns and sunlight access within different rooms or units, facilitating informed decision-making before making investment commitments.
